Stockyard Beef wins Multiple Gold at Perth Royal Fine Food Show

Stockyard Beef is pleased to announce it has been awarded multiple Gold Medals at the Perth Royal Fine Food Show, along with Champion titles in both the Wagyu and Grain-Fed Beef categories.

Stockyard’s gold medalists were our Stockyard Black and Stockyard Silver labels in the Wagyu category, while it was Stockyard Gold, their long fed brand, took home gold in the Class 2 Grain-Fed Beef category.

After a successful year of branded beef awards, Stockyard Beef were particularly excited that the champion beef brand, Stockyard Silver, was part of Stockyard’s very own herd, produced at their breeding property, Kingsgate Station.

This award gives us great confidence in our pastoral operations and the genetics we’ve refined, complemented by the exceptional cattle we source from leading producers. With ambitious goals in place, we’re committed to further growing our herd over the next five to ten years,” said Marcus Doumany, Stockyard’s Chief Operating Officer of Pastoral and Livestock.

Kingsgate Station is situated on the lush green pastures of the Northern Tablelands in the New England region of New South Wales. Stockyard’s genetics are based predominantly on the bloodlines from the Tajima Prefecture of Japan renowned for their high marbling.

Of course, genetics is just one piece of the puzzle. Our precision in feeding, ongoing care of the cattle, and the dedication of our team all come together to make a significant impact on the quality of our final product.”

As this year’s branded beef competitions draw to a close, Stockyard reflects on another successful year. They are especially proud to have been named Champion Branded Meat and Champion Beef at the Sydney Royal Fine Food Show, as well as ‘Australia’s Best Steak’ at the Darling Downs Beef Battle for the second consecutive year.
