Stockyard beef best in state

Stockyard is thrilled to announce they’ve been awarded as a 2021 delicious. Harvey Norman Produce Awards State Winner for their kiwami by Stockyard brand.

The delicious. Harvey Norman Produce Awards recognises the best and most innovative producers in Australia. Importantly, the awards aim to encourage and showcase Australian producers who have a passion and dedication to work sustainably and with regard for the environment and surrounding community.

This is the first year the organisation has entered the awards and they’ve been featured alongside 18 other notable primary producers in Queensland including Maleny Dairies and Walker Seafoods Australia.

kiwami by Stockyard is the organisation’s pinnacle offering, boasting marble scores over 9+, exceptional Wagyu genetics from Japanese origins and Stockyard signature buttery, nutty flavours. The cattle are pasture raised and grain-fed at the organisation’s Kerwee Feedlot in Darling Downs region of Queensland.

Stockyard’s Managing Director, Lachie Hart said: “We’re very proud to have been recognised as a State Winner especially as these awards acknowledge our work in producing delicious beef sustainably.

“The grain-fed beef industry has come a long way in evolving its practices to reduce its impact on the environment but public knowledge on such information hasn’t matched the speed of innovation. Awards like the delicious. Harvey Norman Produce Awards, which place an emphasis on the environment and community, give producers like us a platform to educate consumers that grain-fed operations have a place within environmentally and community-minded food production.”

Stockyard is the first and only Australian beef brand to achieve Global G.A.P accreditation, which is an internationally recognised standard encompassing safe and sustainable agriculture, regenerative farming practices and livestock welfare.

The organisation’s grassroots approach to supporting their local community was also part of the judging considerations, and value held by the company that hasn’t changed since its inception in 1958.

We’re proud to have the opportunity to participate in the national judging taking place later this year. Watch this space!
