Food and Hotel Asia 2014 Team Challenge – Dedicated to Culinary Excellence
This year’s Food and Hotel Asia (FHA) exhibition has again proved to be the premier event in the Asia Pacific region for the showcasing of both cooking talent and quality food ingredients.
FHA comprises both an opportunity for suppliers and producers to engage and network with the food service industry, as well as a chance for chefs to produce world-class cuisine as part of the team challenges.
The Swiss national culinary team competed in the Hot Cooking section of the FHA national team challenges, using Stockyard beef to prepare a main course of braised beef with boletus mushrooms (this genus of mushrooms is renowned as “the king of mushrooms” in Europe, and as such is a worthy accompaniment to Stockyard beef).
In conjunction with Hubers Pte Ltd and with the supply of Stockyard beef, the Swiss national culinary team progressed through the competition to be one of the top three teams to cook off for the “Battle For The Lion” trophy.
